Enjoy Southern California’s Fall Festivals in a Rental Car

Whether local or visiting, you can enjoy the best that fall offers in Southern California by partaking in some of the region’s festivals. Vibrant, seasonal events abound, celebrating each community’s harvest traditions and cultural experiences. At Greenleaf Rent A Car, we have the ideal mode of transportation waiting to escort you on your fall excursion, from cost-effective hybrid car rentals to more spacious minivan rentals. Let’s explore some Southern California fall festivals you can visit in your rental car over the next few months.

Oktoberfest in Big Bear

Fall in Big Bear is spectacular as the air cools and the leaves change. Come along and attend Oktoberfest, which runs every weekend until November 2nd. You can enjoy bands from Germany, along with plenty of German festival fare and beer. This year marks the 54th annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest.

Apple Picking Festivals in Oak Glen

Oak Glen is renowned for its apple orchards and many opportunities to pick apples. You can visit throughout the harvest season and attend one of the many apple festivals until Thanksgiving weekend to enjoy apple-themed activities. There are also pumpkin patches and corn mazes to complete your experience.

Dia de los Muertos Celebrations in Los Angeles

For hundreds of years, Dia de los Muertos, or “Day of the Dead,” has been celebrated around the world. This vibrant, multi-day holiday allows family and friends to honor loved ones who have passed away. There are events throughout Los Angeles that include art, music, ofrendas (private altars), and the departed’s favorite foods.

Temecula Valley Harvest Festival

Lorimar Vineyards & Winery hosts the Harvest Festival on September 29th on the vineyard lawn. There will be live music, a grape stomp photo opportunity, complimentary popcorn, and a drink ticket with each adult ticket purchased. Plenty of food will be available for purchase, as well as participating vendors featuring their wares.

Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival

The 31st annual Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival is happening now through the end of October. Families can enjoy the giant corn maze, a petting farm, a hay ride, a pumpkin patch, and other kid-friendly activities. You can also purchase food at the festival and check out some local vendors.
